Volkswagen has officially launched the performance versions of the new Golf 7.5 range in Australia. Full specifications and pricing for the Golf GTI and R along with the three door Golf GTI Performance Edition 1 are now available.
The desirable GTI will open at $41,490 (all prices plus on-road costs) and be powered by a 2.0L 169kW/350Nm engine, and be mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Restricted to 150 units in Australia, the three door Golf GTI Performance Edition 1 will enjoy a more powerful 180kW/370Nm 2.0L engine and be exclusively paired to a 7-speed DSG. The Price will start at $47,990.
For the hardcore, the Golf R will continue the 2.0L theme but outputs are lifted to 213kW/380Nm. Buyers can choose either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG, with prices of $52,990 and $55,490 respectively.
