For those who love the path less travelled, Volkswagen Australia has announced the addition of the new 2017 Tiguan Adventure to its line-up.
Based on the 132TSI Comfortline and 110TDI Comfortline models, the Tiguan Adventure will bring a host of new equipment aimed at tackling the great outdoors. The 132TSI Adventure and 110TDI Adventure, starting at $43,990 and $45,490 (excluding on-road costs) respectively, represent a $2,500 premium over their Comfortline model counterparts.
Firstly, exterior additions include a new front bumper to increase the approach angle, increased underbody protection, LED headlights and ‘off-road’ labelled front door sill inlays.
The Adventure package also features larger 18-inch alloy wheels, Volkswagen roof bars, keyless access, electric tailgate and power folding door mirrors as standard.
The ErgoActive 14-way adjustable driver's seat will be a welcome addition for long-haul trips. It has electric lumbar support and massage function for added comfort. All seats are covered in Art Velours microfleece with the comfort sports seats in the front being heated.
In addition to Atlantic Blue Metallic, Pure White, Tungsten Silver Metallic, Indium Grey Metallic and Deep Black Pearl Effect paint colours (Metallic/Pearl Effect Paint $700), other options available for the Tiguan Adventure are the Driver assistance package ($2,000) and panoramic electric glass sunroof ($2,000).
