BMW has released details of the new M2 Black Shadow Edition which aims to highlight the power, performance and design of the sports car with a series of black styling twists.
Available from April 2018, the special edition M2 utilises the same 3.0-litre 272kW turbocharged straight six engine from the standard M2. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed DCT or six-speed manual transmission. From a standstill, the M2 will hit 100km/h in 4.3 seconds.
The BMW M2 Black Shadow Edition is equipped 19-inch black matt forged light alloys with a Y-spoke design and mixed tyres, mirrors in a carbon finish, a decorative kidney grille and high-gloss black trim bars for the side panels.
At the back, a rear diffuser in a carbon finish and black-chrome trims for the M double tailpipes complete the race-inspired accents.
To put a contemporary twist on a famous Quote from Henry Ford, buyers can have any colour they like as long as it’s Sapphire Black metallic.
The M2 has been a success for BMW, 12,000 units were sold worldwide in 2017.
Unfortunately, for Australian M fans, the M2 Black Shadow Edition is not coming Down Under.
