Specifications and pricing for the all-new imported 2018 Holden Commodore have been announced, with pricing for the range opening at $33,690 before on-road costs.
A range of grades will be available including LT, Calais, Calais-V, RS, RS-V and VXR.
Kicking off the line-up is the LT 2.0-litre turbo which is $1,800 less than the outgoing Commodore VFII Evoke base model. There is a driveaway offer at launch available for a select number of models with the LT available for $35,990, again coming in much cheaper than the predecessor by $3,935.
Holden’s Executive Director – Marketing, Mark Harland said, of the new Commodore “It looks sleek and sporty on the outside, while inside it’s refined and sophisticated with intelligent use of premium materials and a long list of user-friendly high-tech features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and wireless phone charging.”
“As well as being able to access the range from just $35,990 on-the-road, customers are given peace of mind to test the car in their own time and see how well it fits in their daily lives with our Take Your Time test Drive.”
Whilst the SS badge has not been carried over to the new-generation Commodore, Holden enthusiasts will still find the Calais available as the Calais and Calais V nameplates have been retained. More features have been added to this variant such as heated and cooled massage seats, leather steering wheel and wireless phone charging.
For the sportier drive, the 3.6-litre V6 AWD Commodore VXR now offers Continuous Damping Control suspension, front Brembo brakes and Adaptive AWD for a performance-focused drive.
Final engine outputs are yet to be confirmed by Holden.
