Kia continues to drip feed information to the motoring press regarding its upcoming 2018 Stinger sedan.
The Stinger picture is becoming clearer, Kia only recently confirmed pricing for the V6 Stinger range.
All variants will feature a 3.3-litre bi-turbo V6 engine, capable of 272kW of power and 510Nm of torque.
In the S trim level, Kia has stocked the Stinger with plenty of safety kit, standard equipment includes seven airbags, anti-lock braking with emergency brakeforce distribution and brake assist, Electronic Stability Control and traction control, Vehicle Stability Management, hill assist, rear view camera with dynamic parking guidelines, rear cross traffic alert, active hood pedestrian protection, LED daylight running lights and three child restraint points (two ISOFIX).
The S will also get 18-inch alloys, an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, artificial leather trim, and a 7.0-inch infotainment screen that features both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moving up to the Si, brings additional safety tech, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Alert, front parking sensors, and rain-sensing wipers are all standard.
Wheels on the Si increase to 19-inch, while the infotainment screen hits 8-inches with nine speakers.
At the business end of the range, the GT model adds a 360-degree camera view, Blind Spot Detection, Dynamic Bending Lights, High Beam Assist and full-colour Heads Up Display (HUD).
The exterior of the GT will include electrochromic door mirrors, LED headlights with auto levelling, powered sunroof and two exclusive colours, Aurora Black and Snow White Pearl.
On the inside, the seats are trimmed in Nappa leather and gain lumbar support, powered bolster adjuster and thigh extender. There’s also a two-position seat memory with an easy access button.

Provided it’s a quality driving experience on average Australian roads, the Stinger does look to be a winner when it comes to value for money.
