Mazda has announced the launch of 110 roadsters exclusively for Australian buyers in the form of a Limited Edition MX-5 RF with special driveaway pricing.
To improve the driving experience, the Limited Edition MX-5 RF will get an assortment of special features and premium equipment.
Based on the top-of-the-line MX-5 RF GT, the Limited Edition variant will come equipped with the same 2.0-litre 118kW/200Nm four-cylinder petrol engine that drives the regular RF mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Added to the Limited Edition MX-5 RF is a Kuroi Sports Pack which brings winglets designed to redirect air around the car.
Also helping the aerodynamic equation is revised suspension with a front strut bar linking the under-bonnet suspension towers which should increase the stiffness of the chassis.
Other unseen changes include upgraded Bilstein gas-pressurised dampers for improved ride and handling.
New 17-inch BBS alloy wheels keep the car rolling on with upgraded Brembo brakes to bring the Limited Edition MX-5 RF to an abrupt halt.
Brake cooling performance has also been improved with the use of circular, pillar-shaped cooling fins on the brake discs as well as European-style low-steel brake pads.
The Brembo braking package also shaves two kilograms off the standard MX-5 disc brake weight.
Internally, the Limited Edition Mazda MX-5 RF gains Recaro sport seats.
As a special bonus, each car will be delivered with a custom-made Seiko stainless steel Mazda MX-5 sports chronograph watch in a special gift-box.
The Limited Edition Mazda MX-5 RF is on sale in dealerships around Australia now with a special driveaway price of $55,790.
