The 2018 Porsche 718 GTS range has been detailed ahead of its arrival in Australia next year. The 718 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS are due in March and will be priced from $173,100 plus on-road costs.
The 718 GTS sits above the 718 S and uses the same turbocharged 2.5-litre, four-cylinder boxer engine with slightly higher outputs. In the GTS, the engine is tuned to produce an additional 11kW and 10Nm which brings the totals to 269kW/430Nm.
Porsche still offers buyers a choice of manual six-speed transmission or the optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) for $5,980.
If equipped with a PDK, 718 GTS models can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and have a top speed of 290 km/h.
Standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanical rear differential lock and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the body by 10 millimetres.
The GTS variants are differentiated from other 718 models by a new Sport Design front bumper, black-tinted Bi-Xenon headlights, tinted tail lights, black logos, black rear lower bumper and centrally positioned black tailpipes, black GTS logos at the base of the doors and 20-inch wheels black wheels with a satin finish.
Inside the cabin, the GTS gets front sports seats with Alcantara centres and GTS logos on the headrests. Alcantara also covers the steering wheel, centre console and armrests.
Both the 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Cayman GTS are available to order now.
