Available from September, the 2018 model year sedan and wagon will now come with even more standard safety equipment. The addition of blind spot monitoring, lane assist, rear traffic alert, traffic jam assist, emergency assist and an increase to a 9.2-inch Columbus Infotainment system is worth over $2700 but only increases the pricing of the Superb 162TSI and 140TDI by $700 and $800 for the Superb 206TSI 4x4 models.
The Superb Sportline also gets an upgrade which includes all of the already mentioned equipment as well as adaptive chassis control, virtual pedal, automatic parking assist, premium Canton sound system, electronic passenger seat adjustment and heated seats for the rear passengers.
For the inner Game of Thrones lovers, there is also a new paint colour available for $1700 for the Sportline variant known as Dragon Skin.
These additions are valued at over $7500 but only being an increase of $4800 to the Superb Sportline.
Matched with Skoda’s five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, these upgrades represent good value for customers, something which Skoda hopes will help continue the record sales it recorded in June.
