The second generation 2019 Audi Q3 has been revealed, the all-new, slightly larger SUV is set to arrive in Australia towards the middle of next year.

Dimensionally, the new Audi Q3 has grown in all directions. Length, width and height measure in at 4485mm, 1856mm and 1585 respectively. The wheelbase also grows by 77mm and storage offers between 530 and 1525 litres depending on the seating configuration.

Exterior highlights for the new Q3 include a Singleframe grille with an octagon design, three headlight versions and colour-contrasting wheel arches.

Internally, the MMI touch display with high-gloss black glass-look surround sits pride-of-place in the centre of the console and is slightly angled towards the driver. A digital instrument cluster is also standard with a 10.25-inch screen.

Cleverly the loading floor is adjustable with three levels and the parcel shelf is removable and can be stored underneath the floor. For added convenience, there is also the option of an electric tailgate which can be operated by waving a foot under the rear bumper.

For the 21st century family, a Wi-Fi hotspot is available for passengers and the navigation system recognises driver preferences. The myAudi app also connects smartphones to the car in a seamless manner (so they say).

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system is also available.

Safety credentials are strong with adaptive cruise assist bringing adaptive speed assist, traffic jam assist and active lane assist.

At launch, four engines will be available, three petrol and one diesel, as well as front-wheel and quattro drive options. The engines are all four-cylinder direct injection units offering outputs between 110kW and 169kW and mated with a six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic transmission.

Full Australian specifications and pricing are yet to be announced with the new Audi Q3 set to launch mid-2019. Stay tuned!
