A new entry grade Vi model has been added to the 2019 Honda CR-V range priced from $28,290 plus on-road costs.

The new CR-V Vi is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine which produces 113kW and 189Nm, it’s mated with a continuously-variable transmission (CVT).

Key features of the Vi grade include 17-inch alloy wheels with a full-size spare, rear-view camera, LED daytime running lights and taillights, electric park brake with auto brake hold and a five-inch infotainment screen with Bluetooth but no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Honda Australia Director, Mr Stephen Collins, said: “Our customers were telling us they’d like to a see a CR-V for around $30k, so we’ve been able to deliver a great option in the new Vi grade.”

“The CR-V Vi grade competes strongly on value and specification against other entry-level Medium SUVs, we’ve priced it under the automatic Mazda CX-5 Maxx and Toyota RAV4 GX which is great news for buyers”, said Mr Collins.

Arriving in dealerships now, the 2019 Honda CR-V Vi officially goes on sale nationally from September 1.
