Following a comprehensive model update in August, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 Akari LE will now join the line-up as the range-topper.
Akari LE variants add premium materials and a new interior colour palette to the already updated range.
Dark Russet Nappa leather seats are complemented by colour matched synthetic leather armrests and console finished with white stitching reflecting the Pure White faux leather panelling on the seats, doors and dash. The air vents are also accented with a Pure White metallic ring.
Externally 18-inch bright alloy wheels differentiate the Akari LE from the rest of the line-up with five exterior paint colours – Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Jet Black Mica, Machine Grey Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Ceramic Metallic – available.
Sharing safety kit with the regular Akari sees the LE fitted with smart city brake support forward and reverse, emergency brake assistance, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention alert, 360-degree view monitor and radar cruise control with stop & go.
Powering the Akari LE is a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine developing 110kW and 195Nm. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels or an all-wheel drive for an extra $2000.
