Porsche Australia has revealed initial details for the 2019 Porsche Macan, the updated model is due to arrive in the first half of 2019.
 
At this stage, Porsche has only confirmed pricing for the base Macan which comes in at $81,400 plus on-road costs.
 
In entry-spec, the Macan is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 185kW of power and 370Nm of torque – the same as the outgoing model. It's matched with a seven-speed PDK transmission.
 
There’s more standard equipment for 2019, Australian models will now get LED headlights, Navigation Plus and Porsche Connect services, 14-way comfort seats with memory package, automatic dimming interior and exterior mirrors, park assist with surround view and new 19-inch alloy wheels as standard.
 
The dash and centre stack have been reworked to better resemble the layout of the new Cayenne.
 
The cabin now gets a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen driven by the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) platform with Apple CarPlay as standard.
 
Comfort has been improved with the addition of traffic jam assist, an ioniser and a heatable windscreen, while the brilliant looking GT steering wheel from the 911 is optional.
 
Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the Macan’s local launch in the first half of 2019.
