In the penultimate hour prior to rolling out in showrooms across the country, Holden have announced that the all-new 2017 Astra sedan will be available for $21,990 drive away.
The Astra has tried to redeem some small-car segment foothold through a range of offerings, including Lifetime Capped Price servicing which starts at $229.
Holden Managing Director, Mark Bernhard commented, “We’re really proud of the new Astra Sedan, not just because of its long list of features and comfortable drive but also for its outstanding customer value both at purchase and throughout ownership.”
Four trim levels – LS, LS+, LT and LTZ – are offered on the Astra sedan. As in the Astra hatch, under the bonnet can be found the same 1.4-litre turbocharged engine offering 110kW of power and 245Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a manual transmission is also available on the LS model.
The new Astra sedan has had its suspension, chassis and steering tuned for local roads after significant testing was undertaken by Holden’s Australian based engineers.
In terms of technology and safety, the Holden Astra sedan features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which can be displayed on either a 7 or 8-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system. Push-button start, satellite navigation, rear view camera and Advanced Park Assist are just some of the inclusions.
The Astra sedan has also recently been awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.
