BMW Australia has announced the pricing and specifications for the new 420i Coupe and Gran Coupe in the Luxury Editions.

Both variants are advertised at a driveaway price of $74,900, which is a lot of buck for a little car, though they do come packed with a higher standard specification list than the rest of their 4 Series counterparts.

Upgrades on the Luxury Edition models include keyless comfort access, metallic paint options, electric glass sunroof, seat heating in the front row, LED front and rear lights and 19-inch light alloy wheels.

Under the bonnet of both body styles is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This provides 135kW of power and 270Nm of torque and reduces fuel consumption to a reported 5.8L/100km for both variants.

- 19-inch light alloy wheels
- Eight-speed sports automatic transmission with gearshift paddles
