The free market is at work again, SUV specialist Haval has sharpened the pricing of the H2 and H6 in an effort to get the numbers climbing.
Effective immediately the H2 Premium Automatic is now priced at $22,990 drive-away which is a $1000 price cut.
Pleasingly, no equipment has been removed to get the price down, standard kit on the H2 Premium Automatic includes an electric sunroof, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers and keyless entry with push-button start.
The H2 is also Haval’s first model to achieve a five-star safety rating from independent crash tester ANCAP.
Under the bonnet of the H2 sits a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 110kW and 210Nm. It’s matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Haval has also trimmed the price of the H6 Premium to $28,990 drive-away, again this is $1000 off the former deal.
H6 Premium buyers get blind spot monitoring, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors, reverse camera and dual-zone climate control as standard.
Powering the H6 Premium is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine which develops 145kW and 315Nm. It’s paired with a very smooth six-speed dual-clutch automatic.
