Haval has unveiled an update to its H6 SUV.

 

The current H6 has been available in Australia since 2016.

 

It’s still early days for the brand in the local market, however, in a global context, the H6 is a success. It was the fifth-best selling SUV in the world in 2016.

 

There is a big change under the bonnet with the H6 getting a new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

 

The current H6 powerplant, a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine will be carried over to the new model.

 

Both engines will be paired to a 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

 

A new interior will utilise digital instruments and a large 12inch infotainment screen.

 

The new H6 will be officially launched at the Shanghai motor show in April.
