The Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in Las Vegas will be the backdrop for Jaguar Land Rover’s announcement about its newest ultra-fast technology.
All future Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will use the highly advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Am Automotive platform. This will allow Jaguar Land Rover vehicles to operate at lightning speeds as well as feature efficient connectivity with limitless in-car entertainment and over-the-air downloads.
Immersive in-vehicle experiences are the goal supported though vibrant displays and graphics throughout the car. The platform also aims to increase vehicle intelligence and awareness which should improve road safety.

This new exciting relationship with Qualcomm Technologies is a great example. The new Snapdragon 820Am Automotive platform will play an integral role in bringing innovative technology to future cars, improving connectivity, safety and personalisation."
Many displays will be present at CES 2018 demonstrating the technology which will be found in Jaguar Land Rover’s next-generation Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV), as well as some of the technology found in Jaguar’s first electric car, the I-PACE.
Gentex: Gentex is partnering with Jaguar Land Rover to incorporate the HomeLink Connect system into the InControl apps which will allow drivers to control home devices from their car. Some functions include being able to adjust climate systems, turn on lights, unlock doors and more. This technology will also be featured in the new Jaguar I-PACE.
Gentex’s new Full Display Mirror, which is set to be a feature of some upcoming Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, will also be on display at CES 2018.
Panasonic: Jaguar Land Rover’s Touch Pro Duo system, the intelligent digital butler system from the new Range Rover Velar, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport which was developed by Panasonic, will be showcased at CES 2018.
CloudCar: Since partnering with Jaguar Land Rover a year ago, CloudCar has been developing the next generation cloud-based infotainment solution which will be demonstrated at CES 2018 in the new Range Rover Velar. The system uses machine learning and natural language understanding to generate a customised driver experience.
LISNR: Being one of Jaguar Land Rover’s start-up portfolio companies, LISNR will be demonstrating their data-over-audio solution for short-range, secure wireless data transmission across connected devices at CES 2018. There are many applications for the technology including remote app pairing, user authentication and keyless access.
Quanergy: As providers of LiDAR and other sensors to Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, Quanergy will be demonstrating their 3D Aware Smart Sensing technology at CES 2018. This clever technology will allow Jaguar Land Rover vehicles to learn to respond in an instinctive human-like way.
Mycroft AI: As another of Jaguar Land Rover’s start-up portfolio companies, Mycroft AI will be at CES 2018 demonstrating the world’s first open source digital assistant which allows companies to deploy intelligent personal assistants anywhere.
