Mazda Australia has announced it will back all its new cars with a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. The new warranty coverage applies on all new Mazda vehicles sold from August 1 2018.

The move brings Mazda into line with Honda, Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Skoda, Renault, Peugeot and Citroen. The five-year warranty still falls short of the seven-year package offered by Kia.

“The new warranty will give customers another reason to choose Mazda, bolstering confidence in our already solid reputation for quality, hard-wearing cars,” said Managing Director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi.

Mazda’s bolstered warranty coverage leaves only Nissan, Volkswagen and market leader Toyota continuing to offer to three years.
