Mini Yours Customised offers a range of upgrades to individualise a Mini vehicle. The new Innovative package will allow customers to create side scuttles, trims, illuminated door sills and LED door projectors in a design of their preference.
The new products will be available for an increasing number of Mini models throughout 2018.
Specially created for the new package, an online shop has been developed where Mini customers can go to select, design and order the upgrade parts from the Mini Yours Customised product range.
Designed to be easy to use, the online shop guides users through the individual operating stages as their personal design is created allowing their creativity to be unleashed.
Colours, surface finishes and patterns are all able to be adjusted to suit the needs of the customer. Size and scale are variable for different aspects but features are limited only by the creator’s imagination within the design field.
Lists of pre-existing design worlds, which have icons from fields such as travel active leisure activities and Mini’s history, are provided to the user as well.
Additionally, a text field, which can vary in scale and position, allows for total personalisation such as a name or personal message.
Users can also share their designs with other creators via a screenshot and link for the design on social media.
Should there be any issues throughout the configuration process experts can be contacted via phone or email at the call centre at any time.
Individualised parts will then be manufactured using innovative production procedures which include 3D printing technology and laser lettering for a quick and clean result.
The whole process is claimed to take only a few weeks for each individualised part to be created at production facilities in Germany, it is then just a matter of fitting the part to the vehicle or having a participating Mini service partner carry out the installation.
Customers can change the parts as they change their mood, or as the car changes owners.
Each part is created by professional production facilities and manufactured to conform to the high standards, particularly in safety, as components supplied by the factory on the original vehicle.
