The Skoda Vision RS concept has finally been fully revealed at the Paris motor show.
For a concept, the Vision RS looks production ready. It uses a plug-in hybrid drivetrain comprising a 1.5-litre 110kW four-cylinder petrol engine and a 75kW electric motor powered by a 13kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Combined, the system develops a total of 180kW and is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Skoda claims the Vision RS can travel up to 70km using only electric power and can complete the 0-100km/h dash in 7.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 210km/h. The fuel consumption figure is rated at a suspiciously low 1.4L/100km.
Dimensionally, the car measures in at 4356mm long, 1810mm wide, 1431mm tall with a 2650mm wheelbase.
From the outside, the Vision RS looks remarkably normal, it features 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear diffuser and spoiler, illuminated grille and illuminated crystal logos.
The interior adopts a minimalist design with a large central display, sports seats, carbon-fibre centre console and classy crystal-glass details.
In due course, don’t be surprised to learn the Vision RS is bound for production.
