Land Rover has debuted its brand new 2018 Range Rover SV Coupe, the luxury three-door SUV will be limited to 999 hand-crafted examples and is set to reach Australia in early 2019.

Featuring a signature floating roof, continuous waist and tapering tail makes the new SV Coupe recognisable as a Range Rover family member. It also features power-close doors with frameless glass and a panoramic roof allowing light to flood the cabin.

Pixel-laser LED headlights with 144 LEDs and four laser diodes (market dependent fitment) on the SV Coupe make the luminance of the headlights up to five times brighter than standard LED lights.

Colour choices include a new Contour Graphic hue which is available as part of four duo-tone colourways. Other colour choices include a selection of gloss or satin effect as well as the liquescence option for a liquid metal finish.

When the rubber meets the road the SV Coupe uses its 275/40 R23 all-terrain tyres wrapped around four alloy wheel options from 21-inch to 23-inches.

New wheel options include the two-tone silver polished six split-spoke 23-inch wheels and 22-inch dark grey polished split-spoke with a polished finished.

Interior highlights are taken care of with heated and cooled 20-way electrically adjustable front and 10-way electrically adjustable rear seats covered in a semi-aniline leather with a unique gradated diamond quilt design and contrast stitching, and the choice between four front-to-rear contrast interior colourways, or a range of single-tone interior colours. Complementing the colour range are three wood veneers.

Thanks to the bespoke personalisation team SV Coupe customers can customise their vehicle further with access to 100 more paint colours, plus unique ‘match to sample’ hues, with a range of finishes; duo-tone front and rear leather colours; headrest embroidery; door handle and tread plate engraving and semi-precious metal badging.

Infotainment comes in the form of the InControl Touch Pro Duo with a 10-inch display, 10-inch control panel and 12-inch Interactive Driver Display. There’s also a 10-inch full-colour head-up display.

A 1700w, 23-speaker, Meridian 3D Signature Sound System with dual-channel subwoofer pumps out the beats.

It’s not all about the looks though. Taking care of the power is a 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 petrol engine capable of producing 416kW of power and 700Nm of torque for a 0-100km/h sprint in 5.3 seconds.

Completing the drivetrain is an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with rotary drive selector and paddle-shift. Permanent four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer box and Active Locking Rear Differential is also found on the SV Coupe.

Maintaining the Range Rover flavour is the all-terrain ability of the SV Coupe with a maximum wading depth of 900mm and a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.

Gerry McGovern, Chief Design Officer, Land Rover, said: “The Range Rover SV Coupe is a celebration of the Range Rover bloodline. With a dramatic two-door silhouette, this breath-taking four-seat coupe alludes to its unique heritage whilst being thoroughly modern and contemporary. Beautifully realised, superbly engineered, the Range Rover SV Coupe delivers the most distinguished, luxurious and exclusive Range Rover ever built.”

The Range Rover SV Coupe is expected to go on sale in Australia in roughly a year, local pricing hasn’t been confirmed, however, our cousins in the UK can purchase the car for £240,000 which comes in at $427,000 Aussie dollars before on-roads are applied.
