This is certainly a blast from the past! To celebrate 70 years since the conception of the now iconic Kombi, Australian fans will get the opportunity to purchase the 2018 Volkswagen Multivan Kombi 70, a contemporary take on the classic design.
Limited to only 120 units nationally, the Kombi 70 is based on the Multivan TDI340 Comfortline DSG. Power comes from a four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine developing 103kW of power and 340Nm of torque matched to a seven-speed DSG.
To give the Kombi 70 a distinct look, buyers can choose from a number of two-tone exterior paint finish that includes: Candy White/Curcuma Yellow, Candy White/Starlight Blue, Candy White/Indium Grey and Indium Grey Metallic/Deep Black.
Equipment highlights on the Kombi 70 include 18-inch retro-style 'Disc' alloy wheels, wood-effect flooring, Alcantara seat trim, electric power sliding doors with power latching and LED headlights with LED DRLs.
A Good Night package is also standard and brings fabric blinds, Multiflex board bed extension, washable bed cover, rechargeable mini flashlight and three drawers underneath the 3-seater bench seat.
The 2018 Volkswagen Multivan Kombi 70 officially goes on sale in early March and is priced at $64,990 drive away.
