Alfa Romeo has announced updates for the 2019 Giulia range with prices starting from $60,900 plus on-road costs.
The MY19 Giulia line-up still consists of four models across four equipment grades – Giulia, Super, Veloce and Quadrifoglio, however, the diesel engine option has been dropped.
Added to the entry-level Giulia is blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alfa Romeo claims the extra kit represents a $1000 increase in value.
Super variants ($65,900) gain an extra $2000 worth of gear in the form of 35W bi-xenon headlights with automatic high-beam and heated rear seats.
Moving to the Veloce ($72,900), eight-way electronically-adjustable front seats and heated rear seats are now standard. Alfa values these inclusions at $2000.
The flagship Quadrifoglio ($145,900) now features heated rear seats, five-seat capacity and a steering wheel trimmed in leather/Alcantara with a carbon-fibre insert. Apparently, this adds $4000 of additional customer value.
The petrol engines have been carried over for 2019, the entry Giulia and Super both use a 2.0-litre 147kW turbocharged petrol while the Veloce gets 206kW from its 2.0-litre turbo. The Quadrifoglio features a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 375kW.
