Audi Australia has confirmed local specs and pricing for the all-new A6 sedan range which is available from $95,500 before on-road costs.

 

Locally, buyers will be offered the A6 sedan in 45 TFSI and 55 TFSI form with quattro all-wheel drive.

 

Standard kit on the 45 TFSI quattro includes matrix LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, the new dual-screen MMI touch system (10.1- and 8.6-inch), Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging and heated front seats.

 

The all-new A6 is also the first Australian Audi to feature Audi connect plus infotainment and connectivity functionality which will be operational later this month.

 

Audi’s full suite of driver assistance tech is standard and includes autonomous emergency braking with rear-end collision detection, adaptive cruise assist with traffic jam assist, a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, active lane assist, side assist, rear cross-traffic assist, collision avoidance assist, turn assist, intersection assist and exit warning.

 

According to Audi, the new A6 packs $13,000 worth of extra kit over the previous generation.

 

Moving to the 45 TFSI quattro S line and 55 TFSI quattro S line models add an S line exterior package, 20-inch alloy wheels, suspension with adaptive damper control, Valcona leather trim, front sports seats, illuminated S design door sill trims and a head-up display.

 

The 45 TFSI is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque between 1600 and 4500rpm.

 

The range-topping 55 TFSI quattro packs a 3.0-litre turbocharged  V6 petrol engine making 250kW and 500Nm.

 

Each engine is equipped with Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology (MHEV) with the 55 TFSI and the 45 TFSI using 48- and 12-volt systems respectively. The 48-volt set-up functions as the car's main electrical system and allows power recuperation of up to 12kW, plus start-stop operation from 22km/h.

 

Both powerplants are mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with quattro all-wheel drive and progressive steering as standard across the range.
