Citroen Australia has confirmed specs and pricing for the all-new C5 Aircross with the medium SUV starting from $39,990 plus on-road costs.
Locally, the C5 Aircross will be offered in two trim levels - Feel and Shine, both of which are powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 121kW and 240Nm, it’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. Citroen claims fuel consumption of 7.9L/100km on the combined cycle.
Both grades are also equipped with the brand’s all-new suspension system featuring Progressive Hydraulic Cushions (PHC). The system adds two hydraulic stops on either side, one for compression, the other for decompression which allows the suspension to work in two stages to match the way in which the car is used.
The new C5 gets three individual sliding, folding and inclining rear seats which offer “unrivalled modularity."
Citroen is also touting a best-in-class boot capacity of 580L, expanding to 720L when the sliding rear seats are moved to their forward-most position.
Autonomous emergency braking up to 85km/h, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, tyre pressure monitor, rear-view camera and speed sign recognition are all standard.
