Specifications and pricing have been announced for the 2019 Ford Focus range, the new line-up is scheduled to arrive in showrooms in December priced from $25,990 plus on-road costs.
 
The 2019 Ford Focus will be offered in three trim levels – Trend, ST-Line and Titanium – across hatch and wagon body styles.
All models will feature a new-generation 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine which develops 134kW/240Nm mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
 
The entry-level Trend is equipped with autonomous emergency braking, a Sync 3 driven 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
 
Trend variants also get an active grille shutter and air-curtain technology which is designed to improve aerodynamics along with an integrated rear spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, automatic dusk sensing headlights with follow me home function and automatic rain-sensing wipers.
 
Internally, the Trend gets an all-new interior with more knee and shoulder room, an electronic park brake, a rotary e-shifter, auto-dimming mirror, leather steering wheel and a 6-way adjustable driver seat with lumbar support.
 
Moving to the new ST-Line model brings the option of a hatch or wagon body style. Stepping up a grade also adds a flat-bottom steering wheel, red stitching throughout and unique sports seating as well as 17-inch metallic-finish alloy wheels and a 10mm lower ride height.
 
There is also the addition of dual-zone climate control, smart keyless entry, push-button engine start, wireless smartphone charging, ST-Line dark roof lining, tyre pressure monitoring system and metallic foot pedals.
 
In wagon guise, 1653 litres of storage space is on offer with convenience features including integrated remote seat release as part of the ‘Easy Fold Seats’ system, a two-tier floor, tonneau cover, load compartment loops as well as exterior roof rails.
 
The ST-Line is also differentiated by the unique honeycomb active grille, ST-Line-specific rear bumper and spoiler, ST-Line body kit, LED adaptive cornering fog lamps, LED taillights, privacy glass, chrome tailpipes and automatic folding, heated side mirrors with puddle lamps.
 
Moving to the top-of-the-line Titanium adds the new adaptive cruise control with stop & go, speed sign recognition, lane-centring and evasive steer assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive LED lights with automatic levelling and auto high-beam control, LED sequential turn signal progression and static bending lights.
 
Titanium models can also be identified by the chrome grille and window detailing and 18-inch alloy wheels.
 
On the inside, Titanium models get leather trim, 6-way power adjustable heated front seats with lumbar support, a B&O Play sound system with nine speakers and subwoofer and variable LED colour ambient lighting.
 
The 2019 Ford Focus is expected to be available in Australian dealerships from December this year.
