Joining the 2019 Honda CR-V lineup is a new seven-seat variant, known as the VTi-E7, which is on sale now nationwide priced from $34,490 plus on-road costs.
The CR-V VTi-E7 includes leather trim, 8-way power driver’s seat, a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, rear-view camera and 18-inch alloy wheels.
There’s also dual-zone climate control air conditioning with second and third-row vents, rear USB ports, keyless entry and push-button start, front fog lights and a full-size alloy spare wheel.
In a disappointing move, the VTi-E7 is not available with the Honda Sensing pack of safety technology which means there’s no autonomous emergency braking.
Power comes from the same 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine found in the majority of CR-V models, it develops 140kW of power and 240Nm of torque. A CVT automatic sends drive to the front wheels.
The introduction of the VTi-E7 doubles the number of seven-seat CR-V options, jumping to the VTi-L ($38,990 plus on-roads) adds a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, Lane Watch camera, built-in satellite navigation and heated front seats with driver’s memory.
