HSV has announced specifications and pricing for the Limited Edition SportsCat RS.
Limited to 100 examples (94 for Australia and six for New Zealand), the SportsCat RS is priced from $63,990 plus on-road costs.
The RS follows in the footsteps of last year’s SportsCat R, sitting between the SportsCat and SportsCat+ which are priced at $60,790 and $66,790 plus on roads, respectively.
Finished exclusively in Summit White, the SportsCat R gets a gloss black grille, lower fascia and inserts and a gloss black splash tray.
There are also red and black decals found on the edge of the bonnet, door sills, tub and the hard tonneau cover.
A bonnet bulge, fender flares and 18-inch six-spoke forged alloy wheels, which wear Cooper Zeon LTZ Pro Sports all-terrain tyres are also standard.
The interior of the SportsCat RS mirrors that of the regular model with the highlight being the SV sports seats wrapped in Jasmine leather and Windsor suede.
Power comes from the familiar 2.8-litre 147kW/500Nm four-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel engine found across the Colorado range. Drive is sent to all four wheels through a standard six-speed automatic.
The AP Racing brake package which brings 362mm x 32mm rotors clamped by four-piston forged brake calipers at the front remains on the options list.
Production of the SportsCat RS is due to commence at HSV’s Melbourne facility later this month.
