Details of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max have been announced with the popular ute range getting a minor styling update along with the return of the X-Runner badge.
For 2019, LS-T models get matte black roof rails and new 18-inch machined-faced matte black aluminium wheels wearing 255/60R18 Toyo Open Country Highway Terrain tyres to improve on-road comfort and performance.
LS-U and LS-T grades now have sidesteps constructed from durable Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) which are bolted to the body with steel brackets.
All LS variants (LS-M, LS-U and LS-T) now feature a splash of matte black on the radiator air intake and front bumper while Crew Cab models also get the finish on the B-Pillars.
The final new addition to the 19MY D-Max range is the inclusion of keyless entry and push-button start on the LS-T 4x2 grade, this was previously reserved for the LS-T 4x4.
Front parking sensors are now available as an option for $545. Interestingly, all 17MY-onwards LS-M, LS-U and LS-T models can have the sensors retrofitted.
Isuzu has also announced a limited run of 645 examples of the X-Runner which is based on the range-topping LS-T, it’s priced from $54,990 drive-away. You can read all about it by clicking here.
Power comes from the same 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine developing 130kW and 430Nm. It’s matched with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic with rear or all-wheel drive depending on the variant.
Buyers should also note, Isuzu has increased its aftersales support package to include a six-year warranty, six years roadside assistance and seven-year capped-price servicing program.
