LDV has announced the availability of a limited edition T60 Trailrider ute which gets a host of accessories and a local suspension tune.
Based on the top-spec Luxe variant, the Trailrider is priced from $36,990 drive-away for ABN holders.
The Trailrider’s new suspension calibration was developed by the Walkinshaw Automotive Group in Melbourne. This is the same group responsible for the tuning the HSV SportsCat. The brief was to produce a ride and handling package better suited to our roads and tastes.
The suspension changes will filter through the rest of the T60 range in the coming months.
Trailrider variants are differentiated by 19-inch wheels, nudge bar, sports bar, side steps and a front grille all finished in black.
There’s also a lockable Mountain Top roller tonneau for the tray and Trailrider decals for the sides, rear and bonnet.
Power comes from the same 2.8-litre 110kW/360Nm four-cylinder turbo-diesel found across the range. It’s matched to a six-speed manual or six-speed auto.
All versions have four-wheel drive with high and low range while the Trailrider, like the Luxe, adds a rear on-demand differential lock.
Additional equipment highlights carried over from the Luxe include a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, keyless entry, push-button start, climate control air conditioning, adaptive headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
Leather seat trim, electronically-adjustable front seats, a leather steering wheel and an auto dimming rear-view mirror are also included as standard, as are heated wing mirrors that automatically fold when the car is locked.
The LDV T60 Trailrider will be on sale in Australia from 20 May 2019 and is available in red, white, grey and black.
