Specifications and pricing have been announced for the 2019 Lexus RC F coupe range which now starts at $134,129 plus on-road costs.
The RC F is now the entry point to the range that has been bolstered by the addition of the new Track Edition. Both models share a revised version of the 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 producing 351kW and 530Nm.
The engine now uses a 7.0 per cent-lighter machined intake manifold and redesigned intake piping. There’s also a new, more solid rear engine mount which Lexus says was developed to enhance handling stability, particularly at the cornering limit.
An updated eight-speed automatic featuring more aggressive downshifting in Sport S+ mode is standard and sends drive to the rear wheels.
Other changes to the RC F for 2019 include improved aerodynamics with greater downforce thanks to stiffer and lighter suspension components along with firmer steering control and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
The RC F range also gets standard launch control which hasn’t been seen in a Lexus since the LFA supercar.
Equipment highlights include a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, a 10.3-inch widescreen infotainment screen, leather trim, heated and ventilated front seats, LED headlights, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Lexus Safety System+ is included as standard and brings autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beam and vehicle sway warning.
