Details of the updated 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander have been released with refinement and function the key focuses for the incoming model year.
Styling updates come in the form of a new-look twin-blade grille, bumper redesign at the front and rear as well as a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels.
LS and Exceed models will also get a rear spoiler.
Internal changes include revised front seats with more side support and new trims. Automatic models also feature rear seat vents in the centre console and a powered USB input.
Standard across the Outlander range for 2019 will also be adjustable speed limiting with steering wheel controls, illuminated window control switches as well as one-touch power window operation from the driver’s door for all windows.
In terms of engines the 2.0-litre petrol, 2.4-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines will be carried over offering 110kW/190Nm, 124kW/220Nm and 110kW/360Nm respectively.
Beneath the surface, all models will now feature a quick ratio steering configuration said to improve responsiveness and steering feel. Larger diameter front struts and rear shock absorbers are included to improve ride comfort and body control also.
To increase rigidity and enhance dynamic performance new structural bonding is used and changes to the exhaust manifold catalytic converter should reduce engine noise.
The 2019 Outlander range is on sale at Mitsubishi dealers around Australia now.
