Specifications and pricing have been announced for the 2019 Skoda Octavia RS range, there are now two trim levels and two body styles with prices starting at $39,990 plus on-road costs.
 
The RS will be offered in sedan or wagon with both trim levels powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 180kW and 370Nm, mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that drives the front wheels.
 
Opening the range is the RS 2.0 TSI which gets 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, front assist, city emergency brake, driver fatigue detection, full LED headlights and LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers.
 
Inside there is also an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight-speaker sound system, dual-zone air conditioning, front RS sports seats with lumbar support and integrated headrests, sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and sports pedals.
 
Moving to the RS245 adds adaptive chassis control with adjustable dampers, a 10-speaker premium Canton sound system, keyless entry, wireless phone charging, front parking sensors, automatic park assist, cornering fog lights and a 9.2-inch infotainment touchscreen.
 
Buyers can select from a variety of option, including Virtual Cockpit ($700) which makes its RS debut. Other options include the luxury pack ($2800), metallic or pearl effect paint ($500) and 19-inch Xtreme anthracite alloy wheels ($700).
 
For the wagon, a panoramic sunroof is available ($1700) and automatic boot opening ($500) whilst the sedan can get an optional sunroof (1500).
