A new 2019 Suzuki Baleno GLX variant will be available in dealerships from the beginning of February this year which replaces the GLX Turbo range-topper.

Most notably the GLX will now be powered by a 1.4-litre engine, which replaces the outgoing 1.0-litre turbo, offering 68kW of power and 130Nm of torque which is a bit of a step down from the 82kW/160Nm the outgoing engine offered. It will be mated with a four-speed automatic transmission.

New colour choices will also be available across the Baleno range including Stargaze Blue which joins Arctic White, Granite Gray Metallic, Premium Silver Metallic and Fire Red.

Remaining unchanged is standard equipment including a 7.0-inch touchscreen display with sat nav and rear-view camera, keyless entry and start, cruise control, a leather steering wheel, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloys.

Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Mr Michael Pachota said the introduction of the updated Baleno continues to solidify Suzuki’s unbeatable value in the segment.

“The introduction of the updated Baleno GLX confirms Suzuki’s commitment to great value vehicles by bringing the entire Baleno range under $19,990 drive away, complementing our strong presence in the light car segment for private buyers.”

Pricing has been realigned for the range with the new range-topping GLX available from $19,990 drive-away.
