Audi has confirmed the expansion of the 2020 Q3 range with the arrival of the 40 TFSI variants.
The current Q3 35 TFSI is joined by the 40 TFSI quattro priced from $53,900 plus on-road costs and the 40 TFSI quattro S line which starts from $59,400 plus on-roads.
Both Q3 40 TFSI variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 132kW and 320Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to the brand’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
From a standstill, the 40 TFSI quattro models hit 100km/h in 7.8 seconds, while consuming 8.3L/100km on the combined cycle.
The luggage capacity is 530 litres, which climbs to 1525L with the rear seats folded down.
As standard, the Q3 40 TFSI gets keyless entry and start, an electric tailgate with gesture control, folding exterior mirrors with passenger-side auto dipping, two-zone climate control, leather trim, electric front seats with lumbar support, an auto-dimming interior mirror, a leather steering wheel, Audi drive select and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Audi’s virtual cockpit (digital instrument cluster) is also standard, as is the MMI navigation plus infotainment system with MMI touch, DAB+ digital radio, wireless Apple Carplay and Audi connect plus.
Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assist, tyre pressure monitors, hill descent control, parking sensors and a rear-view camera is also included.
Stepping up to the Q3 40 TFSI quattro S line adds 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels, rear window privacy glass, progressive steering and an S line exterior package.
On the inside, the S line model gets heated sport front seats with contrasting stitching and S embossing, stainless steel pedals, inlays in matte brushed aluminium, illuminated door sill trims, a flat-bottom steering wheel, the larger virtual cockpit plus (12.3-inch screen), and an Audi sound system (ten speakers with subwoofer, 180 watts).
The safety package is also boosted by the inclusion of a 360-degree camera, high beam assist, park assist, auto-dimming exterior mirrors and functions and adaptive cruise assist.
Audi is offering the Q3 40 TFSI with a pre-paid service plan package, priced at $1610 for three years or $2630 for five years.
