Audi has revealed the updated RS5 Coupe and Sportback which brings it into line with the brand’s latest design language.

The exterior adopts the wider and flatter Singleframe grille from the RS6 and RS7, along with redesigned side sills and rear diffuser.

New 19-inch alloy wheels shod in 265/35 tyres are standard. Buyers can option 20-inch wheels finished in gloss black.

There are also two new colour options: Turbo blue and Tango red.

On the inside, the new 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen infotainment system with navigation is included. Audi’s 12.3-inch virtual cockpit (digital instrument cluster) should also be included on Australian delivered cars.

Power comes from a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 331kW and 600Nm. An eight-speed automatic sends the torque to Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system.

Audi claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h which can be raised to 280km/h if the right options are ticked.

Locally, Audi has confirmed the RS5 Coupe and Sportback are set to arrive in mid-2020, specs and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
