Audi Australia has confirmed pricing for the new RSQ3 and RSQ3 Sportback ahead of a local arrival in August.

Priced from $89,900 plus on-road costs, the first examples of the RSQ3 range will be available via an online reservation platform, a first for the brand in Australia.

Opening tomorrow, the reservation platform is described as “a seamless and convenient means of securing the first available vehicles for some of the most desirable Audi models, via a locally developed configurator.”

To secure a reservation, buyers are required to pay a refundable $1000 deposit. The transaction will be finalised through Audi’s dealer network.

"The Audi Online Reservations platform enables customers to configure their vehicle, calculate any finance options they might choose and even enter their trade-in details," said Nikki Warburton, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at Audi Australia.

"The system has been fully developed here to local Australian specifications, in order to provide a seamless experience for our customers. We look forward to seeing it launch with one of our most exciting vehicles to launch in 2020, the all-new Audi RSQ3 range."

Both body styles are powered by a 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine developing 294kW of power and 480Nm of torque. It’s matched with a seven-speed S tronic transmission that sends power to the quattro all-wheel drive system.

Audi claims the 0-100km/h sprint can be completed in 4.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically-limited to 250km/h which can be raised to 280km/h by ticking the right options.

Equipment highlights include 21-inch alloy wheels, an RS sport exhaust system, RS-specific Audi Drive Select modes, RS sport suspension with damper control, progressive steering and wheel-selective torque control.

There’s also a new three-dimensional honeycomb grille, black exterior styling package, metallic paint, rear privacy glass and Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators.

On the inside, buyers get RS sports seats trimmed in Nappa leather with honeycomb stitching, tri-zone climate control and a 40:20:40 split rear seat.

Audi’s MMI navigation plus with MMI touch is also included which comprises a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

Also included is wireless charging with the Audi phone box light, Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, four USB outlets (2x front and 2x rear) and Audi connect plus services.

The safety package includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise assist (includes active lane assist and emergency assist), a 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert and tyre pressure monitoring.
