Australian specs and pricing have been confirmed for the 2020 BMW X5 M and X6 M Competition models ahead of a showroom arrival in May.
Pricing for the X5 M Competition starts from $209,900 plus on-road costs, while the X6 M Competition is priced from $213,900 plus on-roads.
Both models are powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine producing 460kW and 750Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the brand’s rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive system.
BMW claims each body style can sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds. This is four tenths of a second faster than the outgoing models.
Standard equipment includes an active M differential, adaptive M suspension, M-specific steering, M compound brakes, an M Sport exhaust system and mixed 21- and 22-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, buyers get Merino leather upholstery, an Alcantara headliner, sports seats, and Live Cockpit Professional with two 12.3-inch LCD displays for the infotainment screen and the instrument binnacle.
