Local specifications and pricing have been confirmed for the 2020 Hyundai Venue range with the small SUV starting at $19,990 plus on-road costs.
Slotting underneath the Kona, at launch, the Venue will be offered in three trim levels: Go, Active and Elite.
All grades will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine developing 90kW and 151Nm. Depending on the spec, it’s matched with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission that sends drive to the front axle.
Standard kit on the entry-level Go model includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, driver attention warning, high-beam assist, tyre pressure monitoring, six airbags, dusk-sensing headlights, cruise control, 15-inch steel wheels, a rear-view camera, and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moving to the Active variant adds rear parking sensors, LED daytime running lights, power-folding exterior mirrors with LED side repeaters, 15-inch alloy wheels, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter.
The range-topping Elite includes blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, premium cloth seat trim, satellite navigation, climate control air conditioning, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a two-tone roof.
The Hyundai Venue is set to begin arriving in dealerships from September.
