The all-new 2020 Hyundai Venue SUV has been revealed at the New York motor show ahead of an Australian release later this year.
Joining the Kona, Tucson and Santa Fe in Hyundai’s SUV portfolio, the Venue is a compact SUV measuring in at 4036mm long, 1770mm wide, and 1565mm high with a 2520mm wheelbase. For comparison, the Kona is 130mm longer, 31mm wider with an 81mm longer wheelbase.
In terms of styling, the new Venue includes the front cascading grille, sports composite LED lights, cube shape headlamps and is available with standard 15-inch wheels or optional 17-inch alloys.
On the inside, standard kit includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloth trim, a 3.5-inch driver information display in the instrument cluster, a rear-view camera, 60/40 rear folding seats and a dual level cargo floor.
Infotainment is taken care of by an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A full array of advanced safety technologies will be included on all grades including autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision warning, driver attention warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
Powering the Venue is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine which is mated with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Outputs and economy figures are yet to be released.
Local pricing is yet to be announced, however, expect the Venue to open around the $20,000 when it goes on sale.
