Details of the new Lamborghini Huracan EVO rear-wheel drive version have been revealed overnight.
Like the AWD model, the EVO RWD packs a naturally-aspirated V10 engine which has been tuned to deliver 449kW and 560Nm (down 21kW and 40Nm), mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
In terms of performance, the Huracan EVO RWD can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0-200km/h in 9.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 325km/h.
It’s equipped with the marque’s new performance traction control system (P-TCS) which is calibrated specifically for rear-wheel drive to deliver torque even during the phase where the car is realigning following drifting or side-slipping.
The car utilises a hybrid chassis that integrates lightweight aluminium and carbon-fibre with an aluminium and thermoplastic resin body to achieve a dry weight of 1389kg, and a front/rear weight distribution of 40/60.
Underneath is a double-wishbone suspension set-up with overlapped quadrilaterals and passive shock absorbers.
The Huracan EVO RWD rides on 19-inch Kari rims with specially-developed Pirelli P Zero rubber.
Differentiating the Huracan EVO RWD from the AWD variant is a new front splitter and vertical fins within the larger, framed front air intakes at the front with the rear bumper in high gloss black incorporating a new diffuser.
Internally the cockpit features an 8.4-inch touchscreen display in the centre console which controls all functions and includes Apple CarPlay.
A new Giallo Belenus (yellow) paint colour and dedicated leather and Alcantara colour for the interior trim to match the new exterior paint have also been developed.
As is the Lamborghini way, buyers can choose from an extensive range of personalisation options.
Lamborghini’s local arm is yet to confirm local availability and pricing. For some context the Huracan EVO AWD is priced from $459,411 plus on-road costs.
