Lamborghini has revealed the rear-wheel drive version of the Huracan Evo Spyder overnight.

Like the coupe variant, the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder uses a naturally-aspirated V10 engine tuned to produce 449kW of power and 560Nm of torque. Lambo enthusiasts will notice this is down from the 470kW and 600Nm available in the all-wheel drive Huracan Evo.

The reduction in power doesn’t detract for the car’s performance. According to Lamborghini, the Evo RWD Spyder can sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 324km/h.

The Spyder gets the brand’s latest performance traction control system (P-TCS) which is calibrated specifically for rear-wheel drive to deliver torque even during the phase where the car is realigning following drifting or side-slipping.

To enjoy the engine’s roar, the folding soft top can be stowed in 17 seconds at speeds up to 50km/h.

Differentiating the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder from the AWD model is a new front splitter, and a rear bumper finished in high gloss black that incorporates a new diffuser.

Internally the cockpit features a digital instrument cluster and an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay.

Locally, pricing for the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder starts at $422,606 plus on-road costs. Deliveries are expected to commence in June.
