Lexus has announced specs and pricing for the upgraded 2020 ES300h range, which has more variants for buyers to consider along with the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

For 2020, the F Sport trim level joins the line-up along with an Enhancement Pack option for Luxury and F Sport models which Lexus says adds “further impressive specification”.

The range opens with the ES300h Luxury (from $60,488 plus on-roads) which now gets the aforementioned Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and front parking sensors.

Further equipment highlights include satellite navigation, DAB+ digital radio, 10-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, a head-up display, power moonroof, a smart key card, bi-LED headlamps with cornering lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, all-speed active cruise control, lane tracing assist and a rear-view camera are also standard.

Moving to the ES300h Luxury with Enhancement Pack (from $68,875 plus on-roads) adds a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-accented seats, ventilated front seats, 14-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar and memory function, and an electric rear sunshade.

The new ES300h F Sport variant (from $69,755 plus on-roads) is distinguished by a mesh grille featuring jet black accents, 19-inch alloy wheels and F Sport fender badging.

Triple-beam LED headlamps with sequential turn indicators, adaptive high-beam, adaptive suspension, F Sport-embossed front seats trimmed in Nulux artificial leather, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat and a perforated-leather F Sport steering wheel are also included.

Opting for the ES300h F Sport with Enhancement Pack (from $73,755 plus on-roads) brings a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, heated steering wheel, and a powered bootlid with kick sensor.

The flagship ES300h Sports Luxury (from $75,488 plus on-roads) gets semi-aniline leather-accented seats, tri-zone climate control air-conditioning, rear door sunshades, a heated rear seat with power recline function and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. The range-topper loses adaptive variable suspension, reverting to the standard suspension set-up from the Luxury grade.

Every ES300h variant uses the same hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-litre four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine and an electric motor to produce 160kW.

Buyers can choose from up to 12 exterior colours depending on the grade, with White Nova and Cobalt Mica reserved for the F Sport models.

Luxury variants are available with black or chateau interior trim colours, while the F Sport is exclusively available with F Sport black or F Sport flare red. The Sports Luxury exclusively includes topaz brown or rich cream trim colours, along with bamboo ornamentation.
