Lexus Australia has announced the availability of a pair of IS Black Line special editions priced from $67,707 plus on-road costs.

 

The Black Line special editions are available in IS 300 and IS 350 guises. The Black Line models are differentiated by a distinctive black Lexus 'spindle' grille, black mirror caps and black 18-inch alloy wheels.

 

Buyers can choose from four exterior paint options: White Nova, Liquid Metal, Graphite Black and Cobalt Mica.

 

On the inside, the IS Black Line features black and grey leather seat trim, Indigo Wood trim on the top of the F Sport leather steering wheel, which is matched to the blue texture used on the power window switch surrounds, and passenger-side dashboard.

 

Also included are front-door-mounted projector lamps which illuminate the Lexus logo onto the ground on entry to or egress from the vehicle.

 

Features carried over from the regular IS line-up includes rear parking sensors, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, dual-zone climate control, a 10.3-inch widescreen display, 10-speaker audio system, satellite navigation and digital radio.

 

The safety kit includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam, lane departure warning and active cruise control.

 

Buyers can option an Enhancement Pack for $4000 that adds a 15-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system and a moonroof to the IS 300, while IS 350 buyers can add the moonroof $2500 (the premium audio system is standard).

 

The IS 300 is powered by a 180kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, while the IS 350 gets a 232kW/380Nm 3.5-litre V6 petrol unit. Both engines are mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

 

In terms of performance, Lexus says the IS 300 sprints from 0-100km/h in 7.0 seconds, while the IS 350 takes 5.9 seconds.

 

Both Black LIne models carry a $1500 premium over the regular variants. Lexus will offer 105 examples of the IS 300 Black Line and only 45 units of the IS 350 Black Line.
