Specs and pricing have been announced for the updated 2020 Mitsubishi ASX range which now kicks off at $24,990 drive-away.
Originally revealed in February, the 2020 changes bring a substantial design and safety boost.
The exterior refresh includes the company’s dynamic shield styling which incorporates a new grille, LED headlights, fog lights, tail-lights and bumpers.
On the inside, every variant features a new 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with DAB radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The flagship Exceed model also gains a Rockford premium audio system and TomTom navigation.
In terms of safety, autonomous emergency braking and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror are included across the range as standard, previously the tech was only offered as part of the ADAS package on the entry models.
ES buyers can still option the ADAS package for $2500 which adds lane departure warning, auto high-beam, reverse sensors, blind-spot warning, lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.
Moving to the powertrains, the base model ES is available with 2.0-litre 110kW/197Nm naturally-aspirated petrol engine matched to a five-speed manual or CVT automatic.
All other variants are powered by the 2.4-litre 123kW/222Nm naturally-aspirated petrol unit currently used in the Outlander, it’s exclusively paired with a CVT automatic.
From December, two new models - the MR and GSR will be available with both featuring a sporty theme. Pricing for these variants is yet to be confirmed.
