Specs and pricing have been announced for the tweaked 2020 Mitsubishi Triton range, the update comes less than 12 months since the facelifted range arrived locally.
Mitsubishi continues to offer the Triton in Single Cab, Club Cab and Dual Cab body styles, across GLX, GLX+, GLS and GLS Premium trim levels.
The 2020 upgrades start with a rear diff lock being added to GLX+ and GLS variants, previously the diff lock was reserved for the GLS Premium.
GLX+ models also gain a rear air circulator, while GLS variants now feature keyless entry and start, but lose the sports bar.
Along with the minor changes to the range, Mitsubishi has released a Toby Price special edition to celebrate the brand’s association with the off-road and enduro motorcycle world champion and two-time Dakar Rally winner.
Based on the GLS grade and priced from $48,140 plus on-roads, the Toby Price edition gets a black sports bar and nudge bar, an LED light bar, tinted bonnet protector, weather shields, a soft tonneau cover, Triton decals on the doors, and a Toby Price logo on the rear fenders.
500 Toby Price editions will be available locally, each coming with a certificate numbered 1 to 500.
Apart from the entry-level Single Cab, all variants continue to use a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel producing 133kW and 400Nm. Depending on the model, drive is sent to the rear or all wheels through a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
The updated Triton range is available at dealerships now.
