Porsche Australia has confirmed specs and pricing for the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe.
Let’s start with pricing, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is available from $288,000 (plus on-roads), while the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe starts at $292,700 (plus on-roads).
Both body styles get power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine developing 404kW and 770Nm, combined with a 100kW electric motor producing 400Nm of torque.
In total, the plug-in hybrid powertrain offers 500kW of power and 900Nm of torque. Both variants can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of 295km/h.
With a fully charged battery, there’s a fully-electric driving range of up to 40km with a top speed of 135km/h.
Speaking of the battery, the lithium-ion unit is installed underneath the loadspace floor and has a capacity of 14.1kWh. It can be fully charged in 2.4 hours with the standard 7.2kW onboard AC charger. Porsche claims fuel consumption of 3.9L/100km on the combined cycle.
Equipment highlights include Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake package (PCCB), 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels, Power Steering Plus, the Sport Chrono Package and LED headlights.
Safety tech includes cruise control with speed limiter function, camera-based pedestrian protection and Park Assist at the front and rear – including a rear-view camera system and Surround View.
Additional standard equipment for Australia includes lane change assist, keyless entry, four-zone climate control, digital radio, side airbags in the rear, privacy glass, ambient lighting, ventilation for the front seats and a panoramic sunroof. The Coupe also gets 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels as standard.
Both body styles of the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid are available to order now with deliveries set to commence in December 2019.
