Specs and pricing have been announced for the new Porsche Macan GTS ahead of a local arrival in the first quarter of 2020.
Priced from $109,700 plus on-road costs, power comes from a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 engine producing 280kW and 520Nm, up 15kW and 20Nm when compared to the outgoing model.
An updated seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
With the optional sport chrono package, Porsche claims the Macan GTS can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 261km/h.
A specially tuned version of the Porsche active suspension management (PASM) damping control system is standard, while the chassis has been lowered by 15mm. Adaptive air suspension is on the options list which drops lowers the suspension by an additional 10mm.
The GTS rides on standard 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in satin-gloss black and is reined in with 360mm x 36mm front discs with 330mm x 22mm discs at the rear.
Aesthetically speaking the Macan GTS with the standard sport design package features new front and rear trim, side skirts, LED headlights with Porsche dynamic light system (PDLS), three-dimensional rear lights with LED light bar, as well as black front apron and front section. There are also black diffuser and sports exhaust elements.
Internally, buyers get Alcantara on the seat centre panels, the centre console armrests and door panels, a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel and eight-way power-adjustable sports seats. Comfort seats with 14-way adjustment are also available at no cost.
Further standard equipment includes a driver memory package, digital radio, Apple CarPlay with Siri voice recognition, park assist with reversing camera and surround view, privacy glass, an extended 75-litre fuel tank, and auto-dimming mirrors.
The new 2020 Porsche Macan GTS is available to order now priced from $109,700 plus on-road costs. It is expected to arrive in Australia from the first quarter of 2020.
