Following the recent release of the LandCruiser 200 Sahara Horizon, Toyota Australia has announced the arrival of the Prado Kakadu Horizon special edition.

Priced from $89,590 plus on-road costs, the Prado Kakadu Horizon adds a front bumper spoiler and spats for the rear bumper, chrome side moulding and chrome-accented mirror covers, metallic/pearl exterior paint, clear rear combination lights and an exclusive Horizon badge.

The cabin gains two rear USB charging outlets and illuminated front scuff plates.

Equipment carried over from the regular seven-seat Prado Kakadu includes leather-accented trim, electronically-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, three-zone climate control, an electronic steering column, power-folding third row seats, a JBL audio system and a rear DVD entertainment system.

Safety kit includes Toyota’s pre-collision safety system, lane departure alert, automatic high-beam, active cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Kakadu Horizon is also offered with a choice of a standard tailgate with a spare wheel mount or a flat tailgate that moves the spare underneath and incorporates an independently-opening glass hatch.

Power comes from the familiar 2.8-litre 130kW/450Nm turbo-diesel engine. It’s matched to a six-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range four-wheel drive system, crawl control and multi-terrain select.

Adaptive variable suspension and rear air suspension are also included as standard.
