The updated 2021 Audi Q2 has been revealed ahead of a local launch in the middle of next year.

Distinguishing the updated model are tweaked front and rear bumpers, a lower Singleframe grille, a revised LED daytime-running light signature, standard LED headlights and a new rear diffuser insert.

As a result of its changes, the Q2 has become slightly longer, now measuring 4.21 metres, while the width (1.79 metres) and height (1.54 metres) have remained the same.

The colour palette now contains five new colours: Apple green, Manhattan grey, Navarra blue, Arrow grey and Turbo blue, while depending on the spec, the blades on the C-pillars can be finished in black, grey and silver shades.

On the inside, changes have been kept to a minimum with only the air vents and the gear selector being updated.

Dinamica microfibre is now available as an option replacing the former Alcantara material. For 2021, Audi has bundled all upholstery and colours into eight packages.

Higher grades will get Audi’s virtual 12.3-inch virtual cockpit and the MMI navigation plus infotainment system as standard.

Depending on the market, the Q2 will be available with three TFSI petrol engines and two TDI diesel units, however, Australian powertrain details are yet to be confirmed. In Europe, the car will launch with the turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol unit offering 110kW and 250Nm.

The updated Audi Q2 is expected to arrive in Australia in mid-2021, local specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
